About the Role – Architectural Assistant
As an Architectural Assistant, you will support the design and development of architectural and interior projects from concept to execution. The role involves assisting architects and design teams in preparing drawings, design presentations, and project documentation while ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the design process.
You will work closely with senior architects, consultants, and project teams to help deliver well-coordinated and high-quality design solutions. This position requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, basic design understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
The Architectural Assistant plays an important role in supporting the project lifecycle, including design development, documentation, coordination, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Assist architects in understanding project requirements and client design preferences.
- Collect and organize project data such as site information, reference drawings, and documentation.
- Support the design team in project planning and coordination.
Concept Development Support
- Assist in preparing concept drawings, design sketches, and mood boards.
- Help create basic 2D drawings and 3D models to communicate design ideas.
- Update drawings based on feedback from architects and clients.
Design Development
- Prepare architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, and basic interior elements.
- Support the creation of 3D views and visual presentations for design understanding.
Documentation
- Assist in preparing working drawings and construction documentation.
- Maintain organized drawing files and project records.
- Help prepare drawing sets for client presentations and project submissions.
Team Collaboration
- Work with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure drawing accuracy and coordination.
- Assist in updating drawings based on technical inputs from structural or MEP consultants.
Site Support
- Support architects during site visits and inspections when required.
- Assist in checking whether site work follows the approved drawings.
Project Assistance
- Help track project progress and maintain updated drawing revisions.
- Provide support in resolving design or drawing related issues during project execution.
