About the Role – Interior Designer

Civilarch is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and execution-focused Interior Designer who can conceptualize, design, and deliver functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces. The role involves working closely with clients, design teams, and site execution teams to translate ideas into well-planned, practical, and visually appealing interior solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, materials, and finishes, along with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion while maintaining quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities – Interior Designer

Interior Design & Space Planning

Develop creative interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Prepare space plans, layouts, furniture arrangements, and zoning plans that balance functionality, aesthetics, and client requirements.

Concept Development & Visualization

Translate client briefs, mood boards, and 2D drawings into detailed interior design concepts. Support design visualization through 3D views, sketches, or coordination with 3D visualizers.

Material & Finish Selection

Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, fittings, and accessories in line with design intent, budget, and project standards. Prepare material boards and specifications for client approvals.

Working Drawings & Documentation

Prepare detailed working drawings including floor plans, furniture layouts, ceiling plans, lighting layouts, elevations, sections, and detailing required for site execution.

Client Coordination & Presentations

Interact with clients to understand requirements, present design concepts, incorporate feedback, and ensure design alignment with expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Site Coordination & Execution Support

Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure accurate execution of designs. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve design-related issues, and maintain quality control.

Vendor & Consultant Coordination

Work closely with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, lighting vendors, furniture suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution and correct material usage.

Revision & Change Management

Handle design revisions efficiently based on client or site feedback while maintaining project timelines, design integrity, and cost considerations.

Budget Awareness & BOQ Support

Assist in preparing BOQs, estimates, and quantity take-offs. Ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with approved budgets.

Quality & Design Compliance

Ensure all designs adhere to approved drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices. Maintain consistency in design quality across projects.

Trend Research & Professional Development

Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, products, and technologies. Continuously improve design skills and apply innovative solutions in projects.
